These date choco chip cookies are not only delicious but refined sugar-free and gluten free (optional) !

With these healthy options, there is no reason to neglect your sweet tooth. Enjoy the sweeter things!

ingredients ྀི

  • 10 pitted dates soaked in hot water

  • 1/2 cup softened butter

  • 3 tsp pure vanilla extract

  • 3 tbsp maple syrup

  • 1 egg room temp

  • 1 cup all purpose flour ( or gluten-free flour)

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 cup sugar free dark chocolate chips

  • 3 tsp cinnamon

instructions  ྀི

  1. Boil your pitted dates for 10 minutes or until soft

  2. Blend the dates in a blender or a food processor until the dates create a paste. Incorporate water by the tablespoon if the paste is too thick.

  3. Add the butter to the blender with the dates. Then, transfer to a bowl. Be careful to not over mix as this will get rid of the fluffy texture.

  4. Mix the egg, date butter, vanilla, and maple syrup together.

  5. In that bowl, add in the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon until everything is well combined and creates a dough texture.

  6. Fold in the chocolate chips

  7. Place your dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cookies should be about 1-2 tbsp large.

  8. Bake at 350°F for 8 minutes.

This recipe can easily be made gluten free by using your favorite gluten free flour at a 1:1 ratio. My favorite chocolate chip for this recipe are made by the brand “Lily’s”. You can make these cookies with any type of choclate ! Lily’s makes milk chocolate, white chocolate, and dark chocolate.

Pair with a cold glass of oat milk or a hot cup of tea and enjoy! ❤︎
